Musselman finishes 5th at Point Pleasant

The 2016-2017 Musselman Wrestling team opened their season in Point Pleasant, W.Va. for the Jason Eades Memorial Duals.  The team finished their pool action with a 4-1 record with victories over Bishop Fenwick, Mingo Central, Shady Sping and Oak Hill, and a loss to Point Pleasant.  This placed them 2nd in the pool and in second place pool action, Musselman finished 1-3 with a victory over George Washington with losses to Riverside, St. Albans and Greenbrier East.  After the victory against George Washington, Musselman finished the tournament in 5th place out of  18 teams.  Many of the Applemen had great individual performances including a 15-0 tech fall victory for freshman Joey Miller over the defending AAA State Champion George Smith from Point Pleasant.  Some of the excellent individual records include...

The Applemen will be back in action this coming week on Friday and Saturday at home for the Musselman Duals.  Come out and support the team as they look to continue a solid start to the season.
